Applications Schedule and Specifications-Countertops

Before we can start the job we need the following:

  1. Templates for sinks, faucets, ranges or any other penetrations through the counter-top or any custom concrete pieces we pour.
  2. A 3/4" plywood deck inset flush with the top of the cabinets.
  3. Cabinets need to be painted/stained and sealed before we start.
  4. We need to meet with the clients before we start to finalize details about the project. To discuss finish of concrete, colors, other specifics.
  5. It takes approximately 2-3 days to form, pour and finish. During this time no other subs can work in the area.
  6. Countertops need to cure for 2 weeks before staining and/or sealing. During this time no one can stand on or place anything on countertop. Countertops are susceptible to stains, scratches or chips when unprotected.
  7. After curing 2 weeks, we stain and seal countertops.
  8. Some screw penetrations will need to be filled and painted or stained and sealed after our completion.
  9. Backsplash, electrical outlet plates and trim should be installed after our completion. Plumber will need to set sinks, connect plumbing etc..
